Launching as part of a collaborative two-piece pack, the Ayrton Senna Institute x ASICS Gel Kayano 14 ‘Lotus’ takes inspiration from the iconic Formula 1 car driven by the late Brazilian racing driver. The lifestyle runner sports a black mesh upper with tonal synthetic leather overlays. Gold trim outlines the black tiger stripes, matching the curvilinear overlays that extend from the heel to the midfoot. The ASICS tongue tag displays the colors of the Brazilian flag, while ‘Seek Your Truth’ is inscribed on the lateral heel of the left shoe. Lightweight cushioning arrives via a solid black EVA midsole with gold-tinged Gel inserts.

The GEL-KAYANO® 14

• The GEL-KAYANO®️ 14 running shoe resurfaces with its vintage aesthetic and visible GEL®️ cushioning. Originally released in 2008, this version became the first iteration in the GEL-KAYANO®️ lineage to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. This shoe improves the fit of the upper while retaining its classic layered leather and mesh construction.
• The GEL-KAYANO® 14 sneaker resurfaces with its late 2000s aesthetic as a nod to our storied GEL-KAYANO® series. Reinterpreting the shoe’s performance capabilities with updated materials and componentry, this version became the first iteration in the sneaker’s lineage to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. Inspired by the original tooling from 2008, this shoe also features GEL® technology underfoot for advanced impact absorption.
