New Balance 9060 ‘Rose Pink’

Description

The New Balance 9060 Rose Pink is a sneaker whose design was inspired by New Balance’s 99X models, but with a more futuristic look. This version of the New Balance 9060 is made with a mesh and suede upper. White mesh makes up the base, while shades of pale, light, and darker pink adorn the suede overlays that cross the midsole, toebox, and heel. The New Balance “N” appears on both midsoles just under the laces, on one side in gray, and on the other side in dashed white lines. The midsole is made of ABZORB cushioning. Other branding elements can be found at the bottom of the laces, on the tongue, on the heel, and stamped onto the toe portion of the rubber outsole. The heel is supported by a silver panel and the chunky outsole appears in white and pink.

The 9060 is a new expression of the refined style and innovation-led design that have made the 99X series home to some of the most iconic models in New Balance history. The 9060 reinterprets familiar elements sourced from classic 99X models with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the y2k era. Sway bars, taken from the 990, are expanded and utilized throughout the entire upper for a sense of visible motion, while wavy lines and scaled up proportions on a sculpted pod midsole place an exaggerated emphasis on the familiar cushioning platforms of ABZORB, SBS and ENCAP.
